There is no greater investment that the business community can make in its future than investing in the education of today’s children and tomorrow’s workforce. It is a responsibility that all citizens share.

Through active public policy and legislative advocacy, sponsorship of selected research and forums and nurtured relationships with allies, the South Carolina Chamber works to improve education. As the unified voice of the business community, the Chamber is working in collaboration with education leaders to advocate for a much needed comprehensive approach to education and workforce development in South Carolina.

True leaders understand the importance of establishing goals to help drive the success of their endeavors. Towards that endeavor, the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce’s Excellence in Education Council has developed 10 overarching Education Goals that it believes should be met or exceeded by 2020.
