Small Business Awards
Small Business Administration Award
The U.S. Small Business Administration is now accepting nominations for its first round of 2016 Small Business Week Awards. Since 1963, National Small Business Week has recognized the outstanding achievements of America’s small businesses for their contributions to their local communities, and to our nation’s economy.
All South Carolina winners will be honored at the annual South Carolina Salute to Small Business on May 4, 2016, at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center in downtown Columbia. Later this month, the SBA and South Carolina Chamber of Commerce will announce a second round of awards, the new Salute to Small Business Awards. The winners of these awards will also be honored during the Salute to Small Business.
US Chamber Small Business Award
The U.S. Chamber’s DREAM BIG Small Business of the Year Award celebrates the success of small business and honors its contributions to America’s economic growth. By creating jobs and making a difference, the Small Business of the Year is committed to its customers, employees and community.
All businesses are evaluated in four key areas - business strategy; staff training and motivation; customer service; and community involvement. The winner will receive a $10,000 cash prize and will be recognized during America's Small Business Summit, June 13—15, 2016, in Washington, D.C.
