The Economic Engagement Committee focuses on solutions to improve equality of opportunities that promote workforce development offerings, access to high paying jobs and entrepreneurship for all SC citizens resulting in competitive salaries and improved per capital income rankings. Resources and tools will be developed to assist SC Chamber member businesses in building work cultures that value economic empowerment for all employee resulting in better recruitment, increased retention, and greater return on investment.
2025-2028 Goals:
1. Build a robust, engaging, and interactive platform (website and social media) that serves as a valuable resource to educate SC Chamber member businesses about economic engagement.
2. Recognize Economic Engagement as an annual award during the SC Chamber of Commerce Summit
3. Partner with the Education & Workforce Development Committee, Human Resources Committee and Small Business Committee to offer learning and development opportunities that allow companies to support economic engagement for all employees.
