December 8-10th

The Chamber's annual meeting and signature event is the premier gathering of the state's top business leaders. The Summit honors our Business Leader of the Year, Public Servant of the Year, Diversity Award, HR Awards, and Boeing Veteran Awards. This year our conference will be held virtually and include several programs centered around timely issues.

2pm to 2:20 pm – Opening Event/Award presentation

Join us for our opening ceremony which will include sponsor remarks and the presentation of the Excellence in Diversity Award

2:25pm to 2:40pm - Quick Hit: Broadband Expansion

Today’s quick hit will include an update on broadband expansion from leaders in the field.

 2:45 pm to 3:30 pm- Putting Equality of Opportunity into Action

More than ever employers are wondering how they can start implementing diversity, equity, and inclusion policies into their workplaces. Join us for a panel discussion with leading experts and consultants in this field to learn how you can put equality of opportunity into action.

3:30 pm to 4:15 pm -State of South Carolina’s Roads

 Join the SC Chamber and Secretary of the Department of Transportation Christy Hall for an update on South Carolina’s roads.

4:15-4:45 pm- 2020 Public Servant of the Year Award  

The Honorable Tim Scott, US Senator (SC) will be honored with the 2020 Public Servant of the Year Award. The South Carolina Chamber’s Public Servant of the Year award recognizes an individual who has served or currently serves as a key official in federal or state government and has contributed to the overall well-being and health of the state as a whole. 

December 9th

9 am-9:35 am -Second Day Opening/Awards Presentation

Join us for our day 2 opening ceremony which will include the passing of the gavel between our outgoing Chairman and our incoming Chairman as well as the presentation of the HR Rising Star and HR Professional of the Year Awards.

9:45 am-10:30 am- What Does the Election Mean for the Economy?

Now that the dust has settled, what does the November 3rd election mean for the future of the economy? National and state experts will join the SC chamber for a robust panel discussion of what we can expect moving forward.  

10:30am-10:45am- Quick Hit on Environmental Regulations

Today’s quick hit will include an update on environmental regulations from leaders in the field.

11pm-11:45pm- Keynote Speaker

1:05 pm-1:30 pm-    2020 Business Leader of the Year Award

Lou Kennedy, CEO of Nephron Pharmaceuticals will be honored with the 2020 Business Leader of the Year Award.  The South Carolina Chamber’s Business Leader of the Year is chosen based on leadership in South Carolina and the embodiment of personal success. Other criteria include a business record based on ethical conduct and corporate responsibility, public service, and commitment to creating a positive business climate to improve the state’s economy.
