Each year at the end of Business Week, three students are selected to receive the following scholarship awards:
Ron McNair Leadership Award
Dedicated to excellence in education, this $5,000 scholarship, contributed by SCE&G, may be used at the South Carolina college or university of the student's choice. Established in memory of Lake City native and astronaut Ron McNair, the Ron McNair Leadership Award recognizes a Business Week student who consistently demonstrates exceptional leadership abilities.
S. Hunter Howard Jr. Scholarship
This $5,000 award recognizes a Business Week student who consistently demonstrates exceptional leadership abilities and was introduced in 2008 in honor of S. Hunter Howard Jr., retired president and chief executive officer of the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce. Students may use the scholarship at the South Carolina college or university of their choice.
SC Chamber Leadership Scholarships
These two leadership scholarships are awarded through the SC Chamber. They are for $2,500 each.
Education Workforce Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship is for $2,500.
Who can Apply?
To be eligible, you must:
- Attend and complete the full week of Business Week
- Plan to attend a South Carolina college or university
- Attend or have attended a South Carolina high school (2024–2025 school year)
How to Apply:
- Submit a Resume (by June 30, 2025) or bring it to Business Week
Include:
- Job experience
- Extracurricular and volunteer activities
- Whether you plan to attend college in-state or out-of-state
