Business Community Thanks House for 107-3 Vote on Conservation Bank Reauthorization

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The South Carolina Chamber of Commerce today release the below statement following the SC House’s 107-3 vote on H.4727, legislation to reauthorize the South Carolina Conservation Bank:
“The Conservation Bank provides significant benefits to South Carolina by protecting our state’s natural resources and watersheds which play a key role in economic growth” said Ted Pitts, President & CEO of the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce. “Our state’s top industries including manufacturing, agriculture, forestry, and tourism all value and rely on our natural resources. The Conservation Bank provides responsible incentives to property owners who choose to protect their land from development and balances land protection with the state’s economic growth.”
