What does the future workforce look like? Will your job exist? Baby boomers are retiring and millennials are emerging. On Wednesday, December 14th, South Carolina Chamber of Commerce COO Robbie Barnett, was a panelist at the Columbia Chamber of Commerce's Business Impact: Fall Series: Workforce 3.0 Future Jobs. The epxerts discussed the unique opportunities for future jobs in the Midlands and what the biggest need in the business community in the next ten to fifteen years wil be. Barnett's advice, "Automation is replacing labor. The STEM career will be king. Seek an education and skills in science, engineering, tech, and math." Robbie urged high school students to seek advice from their guidence counselors and make a plan early on. Ted Creech from AT&T moderated the forum.
