S.C. Chamber Releases 2018 Legislative Scorecard
August 10, 2018

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The South Carolina Chamber of Commerce released its 2018 Legislative Scorecard today.
The Chamber’s Legislative Scorecard tracks votes important to the state’s business community and recognizes those legislators that score 90% or higher as “Business Advocates,” for their support of pro-jobs, business-friendly policies that keep South Carolina’s economy growing.
“The 2018 session saw several key business community agenda items get addressed by the General Assembly with passage of bills that support the state’s agribusiness community, manufacturers, education and land conservation efforts to name a few. We are hopeful that the work and the Scorecard aren’t complete yet and the SC Senate will return to pass tax conformity which is important to all the state’s tax filers,” said Ted Pitts, President and CEO, South Carolina Chamber of Commerce.
The following 28 members of the S.C. House earned recognition from the Chamber as 2018 “Business Advocates.” The Senators scores will be updated if tax conformity is taken up in 2018.
