COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Mike Brenan today released the following statement in response to the General Assembly’s passage of H.3309, the South Carolina Energy Security Act:
“Ensuring the future of South Carolina’s energy generation capacity was one of the most important and pressing things the General Assembly could have done this legislative year, and with the passage of H.3309, they have done exactly that. This legislation will shore up the affordability, availability, and reliability of power for all South Carolinians and preserve the quality of life we have all come to love. We look forward to the Governor signing this important piece of legislation into law.”
